| yes i believe they have been in some kind of a relationship before the FF scene... we dont really know how long its been since they got off but ppl says its 3 years (according to jack's mobile)... so maybe right after they get off, they get together but they seperated because of the circumstances... maybe because of the dharma guys or the hanso foundation or some other powerful guys connected with the island!!!
i dont know why but IMO the losties are not allowed to see eachother... jack called kate a couple of times before he finally reached her and kate's phone was off so i think its a secret number that nobody knows and kate is not using that number! thats why it was off all day long and she turned on the phone and answered at night! that might be a stuipid theory but it's still possible!
