Canadian Interviews for Harry Potter 6
Both CTV's CanadaAM and Tribute.ca have put up interviews that took place with Rupert Grint last month in New York City for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Topics discussed range from the usual of filming Quidditch, the Ron/Hermione kiss in Movie 7, and being recognized by fans to the not as common such as talking about his other projects and the responsibility of bringing Ron Weasley to the big screen.

Rupert's HP audition tape to be released with Socerer's Stone Collector's Edition!
For those of you who have been dying to see Rupert's Harry Potter Newsround Audition tape: fear not, you'll soon be able to get your hands on it!
In an exclusive chat with SnitchSeeker at the LA Times's Q & A with Potter producer David Heyman, which took place last evening in Los Angeles, he revealed that Rupert's tape is set to be released in the DVD Collector's Edition of Sorcerer's Stone!

Also, David recalled Rupert's reaction to the very first Potter press conference (which took place almost nine years ago!), SnitchSeeker describes:

...David vividly recalled how scared and nervous Dan was during the press conference, while Rupert was chatty and far more confident. He praised Rupert for his uniqueness and eccentric ways (pointing out his odd choice of purchases, including the ice cream van and hovercraft), and that he has remained unchanged, and very funny and sweet from the beginning until now.

Half-Blood Prince Junket Interviews
Some new video interviews from the recent press junkets in London and New York are now online!
First up is a funny discussion with T4 where Rupert says (jokingly, we're assuming...) he would give the Queen a love potion and then proceeds to ace the T4 pop culture quiz! Watch it here. Thanks SS.

"He's absolutely brilliant in the movie and reveals himself to be a fantastic practitioner of physical comedy. He always has been and he balances the dramatic stuff as well wonderfully but the scene on the broomstick in Quidditch which is like something out of Buster Keaton or something, it's absolutely brilliant and I was belly laughing. It was wonderful."

Jessie Calls Rupert an "Excellent Kisser" Plus New HBP Interview
Well ladies, you need wait no more as in a new interview via China Today, Jessie Cave (who plays Lavender Brown in the upcoming Half-Blood Prince) has spilled the beans, saying:

""I can't describe how happy I was when I got the part, but I did have to kiss Rupert - a lot! Luckily, he's a great kisser, excellent even. It was hard not to laugh in the beginning but in the end, I had a great time!"

London Premiere of Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince

New hi-res downloadable videos from 'Half-Blood Prince
To add to the excitement of the London premiere today, Warner Bros. has sent us downloadable links to two clips from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

The first one titled "I killed Sirius Black" shows the attach on the Burrow, while the second "Who's the Half-Blood Prince" shows Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny in the Gryffindor common room.

Rupert a Confirmed Case of Swine Flu (but has now recovered!)
Firstly our apologies for the tardyness of this post, we're experiencing (many!) technical difficulties with our news system at present.
Rupert's publicist has announced today via the BBC that he is currently recovering from a "mild bout" of swine flu.

While he took a few days off filming the final Harry Potter films, Rupert is doing better now and has been given clearance to attend the premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in London on Tuesday as well as continue with the rest of filming for Deathly Hallows and promotion for the sixth film.

Quotage: Grint's doctor had confirmed the 20-year-old actor had recovered and was no longer contagious or at risk of infecting others.

"Other scenes were shot in his absence which did not require his involvement and thus filming was not disrupted," she added.

The Melton Times has released a short article with a few quotes from Rupert Grint, a teaser for his feature interview in FHM!
In the interview, Rupert discusses being horrified by book burners, who occasionally burn photos of the cast in protest of the Harry Potter series.

Rupert Arrives for World Premiere of Cherrybomb
Staffers Lorena and Jen have told us that there were lots and lots and lots of fans waiting (im)patiently outside the Babylon theate for Rupert to arrive. Once he did, the place went absolutely wild! Security guards had to hold up the barriers, those crazy fans!

Rupert then proceeded to spent time signing autographs and posing for photos with the fans. Of course, we'll have our photos up for you right after the film's premiere!

And, for those who are interested (which we think would be you all!) he was dressed in a black jacket, jeans, one of his trademark t-shirts and his well loved US flag converse!

Update: Well, Lorena's just informed us that the film and Q&A session have ended...and do we have a LOT in store for you! We'll have a full recording of the Q&A session up for you all very shortly, as well as video clips, as well as pictures...

[b]New Interview with Rupert on the Set of Cherrybomb
An interview with Rupert on the set of Cherrybomb aired last night on the local news in Northern Ireland. Thanks to Lauren and her friend Scrib we have the video capture here in Youtube! Or you can download it here.
We also received an e-mail from RG.net reader Barbs who dropped by the set of Cherrybomb and observed the following scene being filmed:

"...there was definite filming going on! there was a blonde girl with Rupert ( who seemed to be wearing a tracksuit or something, and had his hair slicked back), they just appeared to be chatting, then she got up and walked away, ending the scene!

July 3
Rupert's New Film: Cherrybomb
RG.net can exclusively reveal that Rupert is currently working on a new movie titled Cherrybomb.
Set in Belfast, the plot is described to be a "a gritty thriller about two teenagers who get into trouble when they both fall for a beautiful new girl in town."

The film is currently in production and filming is expected to end in early August, scheduled for release in 2009. Check out the IMDB page for the film here.

Regarding Recent Tabloid Headlines
We have been asked to release the following statement on behalf of Rupert:
In response to articles published this week, Rupert Grint wishes it to be known that he has never met Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton and has not nor would he, make any negative comment about them, as has been stated. He has also never made any negative comment about Los Angeles. He will be taking action against those parties spreading these falsehoods."

Rupert will be appearing on Al Murray’s Happy Hour, on Friday March 28th, on ITV1 from 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm! It seems that Rupert will be joining the Pub Landlord for a “irreverent chat”, or should we simply say - an interview. Other guests will be Blur “bassist-turned-gentleman-farmer” Alex James and GMTV presenter Penny Smith, with music by Enemy.

March 17:
Set report from E! Daily's 10
E! Daily's 10 had a small video feature from the set of HBP on the weekend, with a brief glimpse and short (too short) interview with Rupert. This was done while they were filming at Gloucester Cathedral last month.

Rupert on 'Ace of Cakes'
Rupert will be seen in the debut episode of the Food Network's new season of their "Ace of Cakes" program which is set to air tonight at 10:30 pm. Please check your local listings. He's been spotted in a commercial for the show in the week leading up to tonight's show and which was captured last night. A replica of Hogwarts castle was made as a cake and it was presented to Rupert and his co-stars when they attended the after party of OotP's L.A. premiere last summer.

Rupert on Forbes Top List
Rupert came in at number 16 on Forbes List of The 25 Top Earning Superstars Under 25!
The main article had this to say about the success of the Potter films:
This summer's fifth installment, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, was the second highest-grossing film of the year (edged out by Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End), raking in $938 million worldwide. The trio are already filming the follow-up, Half-Blood Prince.

Rupert attended the Order of the Phoenix DVD Launch Party this past Saturday, but unfortunately, we'll need to wait until later this week to see any kind of press photos and other media material, according to RG.N.

Rupert's fansite, RupertGrint.net, has gotten confirmation that Rupert will in fact be attending the Order of the Phoenix DVD Launch Party on Saturday November 3rd, 2007, in London.

Emma Watson's official website was updated today with news that the DVD Launch for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be held on November 3rd in London! There is a very, very, very good chance that Rupert will be there, and we'll be sure to keep everyone up-to-date on the latest media coverage that will be coming from this press launch

Rupert at National Movie Awards
Tonight, Rupert will be attending ITV's 1st Annual National Movie Awards. The ceremony is taking place at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The event will be taped and air tomorrow night (9/29) on ITV. Be on the lookout for pictures and clips!

Fellow Harry Potter stars DANIEL RADCLIFFE and RUPERT GRINT, both nominated as Best Actor, looked dapper in black suits - although Rupert finished the outfit off with trainers.

“I don’t have any smart shoes at all”, he said. “I just feel more comfortable in these.”

'Order of the Phoenix' DVD Release is now official!
Warner Bros. has announced that the Order of the Phoenix DVD will be released on December 11th in North America. According to ComingSoon.net and DVDActive there will be several 'Extra Features' such as:

“Trailing Tonks", featuring actress Nat Tena, where we follow her during one whole day on set
Various "Making Of" featurettes
"Fun and Games" featuring director David Yates and editor Mark Day showing us what a difference a good edit makes and allows you to edit a scene
An A & E Documentary featuring “The Hidden Secrets of Harry Potter” in which you can look for clues in the past Harry Potter films for what the future films may hold
“In Movie Experience,” in which you join the cast from Dumbledore’s Army as they come together to share memorable moments

Rupert to attend National Movie Awards
It was announced last month that Rupert was nominated for "Best Male Performance" at the British National Movie Awards for his part as Ron Weasley in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Voting to the public is now closed, and the results will be announced in London during the ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall on Friday, September 28th. A ceremony which it has been confirmed Rupert will be attending!

The awards show will air on ITV the following day, September 29th.

Rupert on "British Film Forever" Programme
As it was reported a few days ago, Rupert was expected to appear on the BBC2's special documentary-like programme entitled British Film Forever tonight. The special took a look at the evolution of British horror and fantasy films through the years. Rupert was there to (very) briefly discuss the roles of the adult actors in the Harry Potter films.

Rupert turns 19 today!
And in honor of Rupert's 19th birthday today, the winners of The Gingers awards have been announced! You can check them all out HERE!

August 23
Best Male Performance Nomination!
Rupert has been nominated in the Best Male Performance category in ITV's 1st Annual National Movie Awards. Voting is open to the public so show your support for Rupert by casting your ballot! *cough*asmanytimesasyoucan*cough* He's up against very tough competition like Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Daniel Radcliffe and Daniel Craig.

The ceremony will be held at London's Royal Festival Hall on Friday, September 28th but will only be televised the following night on ITV. No word as yet if Rupert will attend the event.

Rupert at V-Festival and other news!
On Saturday, August 19th, Rupert along with Oliver Phelps attended the Virgin Records Music Festival, better known as the V-Festival.

Rupert is supposed to be one of many interviewed on the TV special British Film Forever airing on BBC2, Saturday August 25th at 9:15pm BST. The show will look at "Magic, Murder and Monsters: The Story of British Horror and Fantasy....[and] traces the evolution of the British horror and fantasy film."

There are a couple new video interviews Rupert did for the OotP video game.
You can check them out, HERE and HERE. These videos in particular come as "Bonus Features" which you have to unlock in the Order of the Phoenix video game. There are 14 videos you can get access to in all. A majority of the rest of these bonus features contain stills from the film. For those interested, you can watch them at this YouTube user's page.

Rupert Fans Speak Out
The latest issue of Teen Vogue features two letters from Rupert fans who speak out on the publication's decision to not include Rupert on the cover of the June/July issue. She also mentions there is a "snap of Rupert on [the] horoscope page."
