| Quote: My notes pretty much suck as I wrote down non-helpful things like I love Kelly and Dwight is awesome. | My notes usually look like that too Quote:
Wow, did he prove how much he loves DM. If there was ever a time, this was it. I got really sad at the David/Michael talk. When Michael told him he's a good guy too my heart kind of just broke. Michael may not be the best regional manager, but he's probably the most loyal person in the company. Gosh, do I love him. | That was such a powerful scene. I mean, Michael has been demoralized throughout the episode and he can still hold himself up tall and have a respectful conversation with the CFO. Just amazing!
And I think at the end of the day, Michael stood up for Dunder Mifflin because they have always been his family. Despite all the silly and legally actionable stuff Michael has done to and for them over the years, he hasn't been fired and I think he knows and appreciates that. Quote: | Awesome episode and yet somewhat of a sad ending (and yes slight cliffhanger) so I have mixed feelings.............especially knowing this is the last episode although I should't really factor that in. | I was having a hard time with that too! I knew in my head that they didn't know it would be the last one when they filmed it, but it was hard to separate those feelings out. Quote: |
Michael/Jan: A bit of a cliffhanger on our hands. Are these two kaput now or will they work it out? Should it be worked out? I've been a long time fan of these two and I like Jan, but tonight was painful.
| That was really tough. There are times when I think that Jan really cares about Michael, but most of the time, I think she just likes that he really cares about her. After the way she behaved, it's hard to really root for them to get back together. I know that he has done some pretty awful things to her, but most of them were unintentional. She knew what might come out in the deposition and she didn't warn him about it - probably because she knew what might happen and she didn't want to ruin her chances at the big payout. You could argue that she really wanted to win the money for both of them because Michael has been supporting her all this time, but I just don't think that was the case. I dunno. I'm having a hard time with Jan's side on this one. Quote:
"You expect to get screwed by your company, you never expect to get screwed by your girlfriend." | Exactly. That line just broke my heart. |
