I hated Ryan/Marissa. So that's not even on the list.

It was so selfless of her to pretend that she lost the baby in order for him to have his new life in Newport, go to college, etc.

She was a financially disadvantaged teenage mother living in a bad neighborhood. She did need Ryan. But she was thinking of what Ryan needed.

I'm glad everything worked out for her later on. She got a good job. Her baby is healthy.
