He definitely seems torn about everything.

What I found interesting was that Serena got upset when Nate said that he brought her up to the room to explain why he wasn't talking to her. I think was she prepared to have some sort of relationship with him and she felt kinda let down by the fact that he was willing to sever all ties with her.
