| Rules, Introductions, & Thread Guide: Your First Stop On the DC Board
Welcome to the Dawson's Creek Board! 
If your are new, here is some information to help you!
Registering
When joining Fan Forum, you are providing and agreeing to three steps:- Page 1 - requests your date of birth (You must be 13 years or older to register).
- Page 2 - provides Fan Forum rules and asks you to agree to them.
- Page 3 - asks for a user name, password, your e-mail, and your time zone.
Your email is kept absolutely confidential and will never be sold or given to third parties.

Rules (Must read!)
First, please make sure you read the Official FanForum Rules.
1. ANTI-THREADS
- We have three couple anti-appreciation threads on the Dawson's Creek board. Criticism is allowed but not in a bashful way. (Your post will be edited by one of the Mods if we feel that you went too far in the threads and you will get a PM from one of us.)
- The Anti-Couple Thread means couple; not one character sided. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t discuss one of the characters individually, as long as you are expressing something directly related to the couple. For example, if a certain reaction or action was made by one of the characters, and it directly resulted in something to do with that couples relationship, which would be allowed. But this doesn’t mean you bash the character in a directly negative way. We still enforce the criticism rule.
- No going against another couple or character in the Non-Anti-Threads; that means no Anti-Dawson or Dawson & Joey in the Pacey and Joey thread and vice versa. We have individual Anti-Threads for that.
- Negative comments about the Actors is NOT allowed.
- No Quoting Comments from other Anti-threads in a different Anti-thread that you post at. Don’t talk about what said on the other anti thread, as well.
- Anti thread titles should be respectful, related to the show, and only directed at the fictional characters or couples. Anything considered by management to be derogatory towards real people will be removed and may warrant an infraction.
2. BASHING
- No bashing on this board of REAL PEOPLE, period.
(DC Posters, Cast, Writers, Producers, etc.)
If you cannot follow these rules, a warning will be issued. Once you accumulate three infraction points, temporary banning (or permanent) will occur on your account. If a thread ignores a warning to get back on topic, it will be closed until further notice.
3. QUOTING ICONS/IMAGES (Applies to all threads and boards.)
- Please do not quote images or post images from other sites without their permission or expressed permission. Doing so is called, Hotlinking.
- Every time a page is accessed with photos that have been hotlinked, the outside server for that site has to use its bandwidth to display the image. Therefore, it can cause an influx of bandwidth, which may result in the site going down.
- To avoid this problem, don't link to files on servers that don't belong to you. You can work around this by sharing images and files on your own web page, upload them to your own server or by uploading them to one of the many free photo hosting/file hosting providers.
- NOTE: Mandy runs Joshua Jackson Network - Your #1 source for all things Josh. And she is allowing others to use her website URLs as an image source and they can be hotlinked without any worry.
