The scans of the new issue of Teen Vogue have been scanned by Magical Menagerie and posted on ICM.

I've transcribed the two letters from the disgruntled fans, as well as his feature on the horoscope page. Sounds like TV is trying to make amends for their inexcusable blunder a couple of months ago. And it's great that they seem to have seen the error of their ways... but too little, too late, I'm afraid. Nishat Kahn

I am a longtime reader of Teen Vogue and have always loved your articles. But I have to say that I was immensely disappointed to see that your cover featured Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, but not Rupert Grint. Not only is he absent from the cover, but his other work and accomplishments are hardly touched upon in the article ["Practical Magic" by Lauren Waterman]. While I'm glad you included a story about the cast, the fact that Rupert was practically disregarded ruined the piece for me. The next time your cover story boasts the word "trio", please be sure to fully include its members.

As an avid Harry Potter fan, I was very excited for the June/July issue. But I was appalled by your cover selection. How dare you choose to put Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson on the cover and completely ignore Rupert? They are equals -- in the books and movies -- so I was enormously disappointed in your completely unwarranted snub of the actor. Now I am ashamed to call myself a fan of your magazine, as you seem to have given in to petty Hollywood mechanisms! I hope Rupert knows that he is, contrary to what you have not-so-subtly suggested, by no means a third wheel of the Harry Potter trio.

Horoscope page...
Rupert Grint (August 24th)
Eighteen-year-old Rupert Grint is a Virgo through and through. Modest, studious, and a little bit shy, a boy like Rupert is intelligent and kind -- and more than likely to fly under the radar. But don't be so quick to write him off: When the time comes, this guy will step up to the plate big-time -- and you just might see him in a whole new light. |
