Thanks for re-opening the discussion thread baileycat!

I just started getting into the whole 'Harry Potter' craze about a week ago. I'm almost finished the first book.

So far, my favorite character is 'Hagrid'. He looks dangerous and rough but has the kindest heart and wouldn't hurt a fly. So to speak...

He's someone you can trust with your life.

My favorite scene in the first book to date is when Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville run into 'Fluffy'. The description of the dog and size and the reaction of the characters was well written, and I felt it was paralleled well in the first movie. It was just like it was written.
