North Shore is only superficially like the OC, people were saying it was like Melrose Place to the OC's 90210 ... or something like that. I'm honestly way more into the OC. Both shows are addictive, but the OC is soemthing I'm into overall, while a lot of times I feel like rolling my eyes during North Shore. I obviously like the show enough to post here though and am interested enough in the storylines to look past some of the cornier moments.
Anyway, the fact that these are adults and they're the working class surrounded by money rather than money themselves, the nature of their problems--I think all that is handled differently than on the OC.
