I spent much of the holiday weekend, if you can call it that, watching the networks’ fall pilots. I’m not allowed to officially “review” them at this point, because many of them are still rough and others seem likely to be completely reshot. But so far, my impression is: not so bad; not great. I liked the CW’s “Aliens in America” (a half-hour comedy, no laugh track and very charming) quite a bit, ....
