I thought about it because Ben may find out about the Cooper thing, and he said to Locke he needed to kill his father to be set free. Now, Sawyer has done the same thing somehow, but he is back in the chains of his old self once again, so...
I don't know, a dialogue between them would be somehow a powerful thing to see (if Ben manages to come out alive, that's it, lol).

And Kelly, I agree. Enchanting verbal techniques and philosophical talk don't fool Sawyer (and Sayid). With Locke (who conned him into doing the dirty job for him), Sawyer got fooled only because was trying to help the group and do the right thing.
