The CW audition other actors beginning 6/16 but didn't see anyone else that they felt was right for the role.
So, little over a week ago (around the 21st), the CW came back to SP apologizing for the "misunderstanding" and begging him to reconsider their offer. Evidently the writers, the producers, and just about everyone connected with the show (except perhaps one) really felt SP was perfect for the part.
Evidently he agreed with them.

It's still not confirmed but probably a 99% chance he will do it.
Then again we have a 99% chance for Gilmore S8 and look what happened, so until contracts are signed nothing is for sure. |
