| I thought Kerrys speech was pretty good. I have to say I was impressed with a lot of what he said. I too was wondering about how he was going to provide marines with the best equipment, when he voted against giving it to them!
I did like what he said about stem cell research. While I DO NOT think embryos should be created or "manufactured" simply for the purpose of stem cell research, I do think that left over embryos from pregnancy clinics and things like that should be allowed to be used to create new strains. I also think that adult stem cells should be researched a lot too.
I'm still interested in learning about his policies. Because I will be honest, a lot of them sound great and I agree with them...but I question how they will be PAID for and implemented.
Did he mention ANYTHING about college students? I am getting sick and tired of politicians in this country leaving us out of the equation. I want to know how they are going to confront the rising tuition costs, etc.
The ballon drop at the end kicked @$$ though. 100,000 ballons they said! Unbelievable! They sure now how to party and go all out, I'll say!
Did you hear though? Apparently CNN caught the DNC director LIVE ON TV saying: "Jesus! We need more balloons. I want all balloons to go, goddammit... There's not enough coming down! All balloons, what the hell! There's nothing falling! What the f@#k are you guys doing up there?" Some funny *****! Guy needs to take a chill pill!
