It took me awhile to come around and accept the finale as the finale and really accept what we were given, but after a 2nd viewing I did accept it and I'm okay with this being the series finale.

There were a few scenes that might have been thrown in as DR's "just in case" scenes, but I think they made them fit well. Like Richard praising Lorelai. They made it touching (possibly a bit cheesy), but also threw a laugh in with it too. The Emily and Lorelai scene was the same - touching, but with Emily still being Emily. How I loved that she really laughed/smiled at one of Lorelai's jokes though. It made it feel, at least for me, that Lorelai and Emily were going to be okay -- even if we didn't really get to see their relationship really get to that new understanding.

The Lorelai/Rory scenes were done perfectly. AB and LG really knocked it out of the park. As Rory thanked Lorelai, they cut to Lorelai as she gives this tiny nod. It just seemed so real and so filled with emotion. To me it was almost as if LG was saying to AB "This is good. We can move on now." I thought it was very moving and it made me cry.

Lorelai watching Rory sleep was another "wow" moment. Again, the emotion was so real, it's like they knew this was really it. Which, for the fans sucks, but for the emotion that was put into the scenes, it was awesome. Then to follow that emotional scene to Luke doing the impossible for his girls - the waterworks were uncontrollable. I will always love that fictional man.

I did have to rewatch the LL stuff quite a bit last night before I was okay with it. But I am now, really. Of course I would have taken more and I would have preferred that the camera zoom out and showed LL kissing in front of the town, but like I was told last night, you don't have to see every detail. Sometimes it's best to leave things to your imagination. We were left lingering for more, and I think it's safe to say we know LL will be okay this time. So that makes me feel good. And I think SP was right -- that is good writing. To leave us wanting more is a good thing.

It's sad to say goodbye to Stars Hollow. Like Rory said, I loved "growing up" there and am going to miss them all so much. The actors (for the most part, lol) gave us 7 years of beautiful work. ASP created an amazing home away from home for me. And I met great people (fictional and real) all along the way. It's a show that I'll cherish for a long time to come.

And this is really my final post on FF. It's been a crazy ride here as well. Some times were a lot more fun than others, but I do take with me some fond memories -- like the ducks. Good times. Anyway, hope everyone enjoyed the finale and also that you never get so emotionally invested in a show ever again.

So long, folks.
