| I always assumed they just overlooked it. I know I do that with characters I like sometimes. (I will even admit to having done that with Lorelai until mid season six when she just got too hard to defend, lol.) But who knows, I guess they could like that he's become more of a presence in Rory's life now. I also see the argument a lot that Lorelai took Rory away from him, so maybe they go with the theory that he didn't have a chance to be a father. (Which I can't agree with at all, but hey.)
