Who says Christopher is being "payed" for anything? He's been there more for his daughter in the last two seasons, and he's finally showing up for a big event in his daughter's life. It sounds to me like he's finally stepping up and doing what's expected, not getting "rewarded" for something. And he's also had to face the fact that Lorelai doesn't want him and the death of the Chris and Lor 4-Eva fantasy.

And it's Luke Lorelai loves in the end. It's Luke who gets to celebrate with the girls and everyone important to them in the finale. It's Luke who gets the last "family" scene with the girls in the diner. Sounds to me like Luke wins--if it even is a contest.

I'm not saying my way to look at things it's the appropriate one,but it's the way I feel.

I think that the most successfull thing that could happen to a show is to lead people to like it for different reasons, because that means that it has given many hints and viewers chose wich one they prefer or they dislike based on their personal way to look at things, that I can guess it could be related to each one life and stuff.

I've never pretended that people had to agree with me,but I've never told to anyone that his own way to feel and look at something was the less construtive one, because it's not my way to approach other people's opinions, but that only lead me to confirm that we're all different, and we all deal with things in a different way.

About Christopher :

for me Christopher had enough time on screen this year, it is a non sense that Lorelai in a letter mentioned Luke as Rory's father figure and he isn't there.Christopher is Rory's father, and has every right to be there, not that I would have counted on it, but he will be there for the graduation, I say FINALLY he's into something important for his daughter.

Christopher as a father..I should say too many things but let me say the C/R relationship for me is one of the point hasn't been threated the way it should have been, the relationship is being closed with Rory telling her mother that she was by her side and not because she had to, but because she wanted too, and that's enough for me.

Logan went to Lorelai asking "the permission" to marry her..should I add something?

Did Christopher had a talk with Rory about the wedding ?and as long as I can remember Lorelai told him that she was kind of upset..and I could go on and on, so he's there and the fact that Rory inform her mother about him coming to the graduation, let me think that it's like an occasion maybe she didn't even expect it from him, and a daughter should have the right to have some expetactions from hes parents.

About Luke winning at the end...I see it differentlly.
