Milo was interviewed in Famous Weekly magazine, April 2, 2007 issue (an Australian magazine):

Don't Ask Me If I Have A Girlfriend!

He may star in one of TV's hottest new shows, but homely Milo Ventimiglia is anything but your typical hollywood celebrity.

The whole world is going nuts over Heroes. How are you handling the success that comes with starring in such a television phenomenon?

[laughs] It's freaking me out! Only joking. In reality my life hasn't really changed at all. I still keep to myself, hang out with my mates and avoid celebrity hot spots.

Surely any celebrity worth their star wattage would be milking their fame for all it's worth?

[laughs] Yeah. I've never really been comfortable doing the whole celebrity thing, prancing around parties and A-list events just to get photographed and be seen. It's just not me. You're more likely to find me hanging out watching grubby punk bands, or reading at home, than sipping champagne at a hip club.

You say that like sipping champagne's a bad thing!

Sipping champagne isn't the problem, the pretension that goes with it is. Unfortunately, a lot of Hollywood It clubs are about listening to people who believe in their own publicity talk as if their opinion matters the most. No thanks.

Are you really as shy as people say you are?

I don't know about shy, but I am intensely private and I'm a homebody - I'd rather be in the kitchen cooking than hanging out in a bar.

Are you seeing anyone?

No, I'm single.

Surely you have girls throwing themselves at you all the time.

[laughs] That's about all you'll be getting out of me.

Does it bother you that people want to know about your private life?

It doesn't bother me. It amuses me.

Are you worried Heroes could fall into the same trap as Lost by raising too many questions and not enough answers?

Not at all. The writers on the show are brilliant at what they do and Tim Kring, the creator, has said all along that he will give viewers the answers they've been searching for by the end of the first season. In fact, he's guaranteed that.

Is it true that someone who's been with the show from the very beginning is going to die?

My lips are sealed. What I can tell you is that the second half of the season is going to blow you away. I think it's best described as 'hold your breath' TV.

Is there any truth that college students across the US tune in to Heroes each week solely to get pissed?

[laughs] I have heard that a few college campuses have started Heroes drinking parties, if that's what you mean. Basically the idea is - so I've been told - every time Peter adjusts his hair, or Hiro pushes his glasses up or Mohinder says "my father's research", you take a drink. Any true fan of the show knows that any given episode could involve several shots. [laughs] Probably not the best thing for remembering storylines.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I would love to have the power of persuasion. [laughs] Then I'd never be asked a question about my love-life again!

There's a Heroes cast picture below the interview and it says: Milo, 29, pictured here with the Heroes cast at the Golden Globe Awards, says of his character Peter Petrelli, "it's nice to play a big-hearted, warm soul for a change."
