| Quote: | We ship Rory and Logan. We don't think it's good that they're breaking up. We don't care if there's a possibility they may be friends sometime in the distant future. All season long we've been shown how strong they were, how committed they were to each other. DSR is now retconning everything we were shown about this couple. And not only that, he's doing it in the cruelest way possible. Why a turned down proposal? That's not bittersweet, that's heart wrenching. No matter how Rory turns him down, it's still heart wrenching. I don't want to hear about how hard it was for the JJs last year. You all knew there was another season and you all knew LL would eventually be reunited. You have your happy ending. We don't have that. This manufactured ******* is the last image we'll have of our couple. If last season had been the end of the series and your final image had been Luke not jumping at Lorelai's ultimatum and Lorelai jumping into bed with Christopher would you have just said, "Oh well, Luke just wasn't ready for marriage yet. Maybe they can be friends someday." Please try to keep that in mind when you go off on your "maybe Rory's just not ready for marriage" spiel. Forgive me, but I'm feeling particularly bitter today. |
I concur. In particular with the bolded parts.
I seem to be growing angrier about this by the day...LOL. Not a normal reaction for me...I keep thinking about how I would have felt had my wife turned me down after we graduated...It's just too awful for me to contemplate how Logan will feel after being tossed aside as a "college experience". __________________ A pessimist is a well-informed optimist-Napoleon And when Love speaks, the voice of all the Gods makes Heaven drowsy with the Harmony-William Shakespeare |
