Fiona, Wonderfalls is about a young woman in her twenties named Jaye Tyler who has inanimate objects (like a smooshed face wax lion) talk to her. They tell her things that she doesn't completely understand. Like the lion in the pilot told her not to give a customer (she works retail in a shop called Wonderfalls in Niagara Falls, NY) her money back. She is so shocked but the customer takes the money and on her way out, the customer is mugged.
There is more to the show but this is all I have time for now.
