DM: Mike, you reported some big news for Gilmore fans, which is that the season is being pushed back a week.
MA: Y-, well not the season, but the---
DM: The next two episodes.
MA: Yeah, the return of the Gilmore, yeah.
DM: And also the finale, obviously that gets pushed back. And One Tree Hill as well.
MA: Yeah, a week. Yeah, it [Gilmore] will be coming back one week later because of the success of the PussyCat Dolls.
AC: Right, which is kind of funny, ‘cause it’s really doing better in that post-Model slot.
MA: They’re doing better in --- the second airing is doing better than the first airing, which is pretty insane.
AC: Right.
DM: Uh, Mike, a listener named Craig, who is a hard-core Gilmore fan, he writes us almost every week, wants to know “Will Rory invite Luke to her Yale-graduation?”
MA: Oww, I’m sure she will.
AC: He came to her high school graduation.
MA: Did you see that thing that I put in the column about how Christopher and Lorelai are gonna be going to the graduation together---
DM: Yeah.
AC: Yeah.
MA: and I was like “Oh, I guess they’re dating again” as a joke?
AC: Yeah.
MA: People really took that seriously.
DM: I think you got about five hundred comments to that posting. I mean, people went insane.
MA: They were. I mean, but obviously, it was a joke. But they’re her parents, of course they’re going to her graduation together.
MMcD: Apparently not.
DM: But you know how sensitive these fans are.
MA: That’s why I made the--- I pointed out afterwards, you know, “I’m kidding”, you know. It was just a joke.
AC: Is this person concerned that there is, like, gonna be a Cindy Brady situation? That there’s not enough tickets to the graduation?
DM: I think a lot of fans though, are concerned that there’s not gonna be enough time in the season to do a truly nice happy ending for Luke and Lorelai. To that point a listener named Cally, who wrote us a really sweet mail here, “In your last podcast you say ‘we might be able to picture Luke and Lorelai’s future together, and that is good’. Well, and this is in all caps, so she’s screaming: I DON’T WANT TO HAVE TO PICTURE THEM TOGETHER, I WANT TO SEE THEM IT. IF I WANTED THEM TO PICTURE THEM TOGETHER, I WOULD READ FANFICTION, WHICH I DO, BUT I WANT THIS TO HAPPEN ON THE SHOW, SO IT’S A REAL THING.
MMcD: Oh my…
AC: Oh my…
DM: Oh my…Cally, darling, these are actors reading scripts, nothing is real.
MA: Aww, why did you tell her that?
DM: Nothing is real.
AC: You just shattered her whole…
DM: Aww, but that’s sweet, that’s sweet.
MMcD: That’s very sweet.
