Also, Rory's is the only part of the landscape where they feel comfortable monkeying around. Notice, no new townies. But because Yale was only a few seasons old it all got wiped clean. I agree, I don't trust them to write/create new characters, and more importantly follow through with them. Olivia was the best of the newbies and she got shuttled off asap. I liked her.
