With Lorelai and Christopher finally kaput, Rory in a spat with Logan and Emily in Richard's way as he recuperates from his heart attack, Gilmore Girls tries to up the emotional ante and bide time until Luke eventually and predictably re-enters their lives – by taking the three generations of Gilmore women on a road trip for a wedding. It's at the North Carolina nuptials that they come face-to-face with Mia (guest star Kathy Baker), Lorelai's surrogate mom, which brings up all sorts of emotional angst for Emily. Also, Lane finally gives birth to her twins (8 p.m. on The CW, 10 p.m. on Global).
