My appreciation for this season comes for the way the character of Pacey progressed. While he was my favorite character from the pilot on (Joey being a close second), in season two, he got better, more central storylines, as opposed to being a "sidekick" with side stories. His charm became even more apparent, and though I always liked his relationship with Tamara and knew he was a great boyfriend, he really started showing his tender side here with Andie.
Though I don't really like the character of Andie, I do appreciate hers and Pacey's relationship here. It saved this season for me, in a way, as their relationship really constrasted with the D/Jo off-and-on stuff, which was
very quickly turning me off the show. Had Pacey not been so wonderful, I would never have watched past this.
