| Quote: | My point is, there's a little drama coming up, then it seems they fall back to what they've done all year with Rory. I'd like something more than Rory wants/expects romantic dinner alone, gets petulant & jealous over bombshell co-worker, and whines till Logan cajoles her, kissy-kissy, end of story. Or Rory ticks Logan off, argument, pouting, make-up, kissy-kissy, end of story. Or Rory develops instant crush on nerdy TA, stammers, blushes profusely, daydreams & Googles, plays true confessions, kissy-kissy, end of story. And coming up, Rory gets in a snit over Logan going to Vegas, takes off in a huff, Logan follows to make-up, kissy-kissy, end of story. There's hardly been anything ongoing, just these these little one-shot mini-dramas that I'm not finding interesting, and Paris's dry erase boards that Rory has little tolerance for. | Those things you just summed up (you definitely experienced/saw these things differently ) imo do show they are working on things and are actually working them out. I do agree I would want to see Rory be the one with some more conviction about the two of them, but I am thinking that will be shown soon.
What we saw with Lorelai/Luke in season 6. Didn't most of us wanted them on plenty of occasion to do what Logan/Rory did do. Sure different situations, but definitely some similarities.
We had Lorelai/Luke in AVV and Lorelai wanted Luke to be more in the Valentine mood instead of the complaining mood. How pleased were most of us, well I was, that they did kiss and make up. But then they came home and things went back to the same. And I really did want Lorelai to speak up in the diner instead of looking defeated and not say anything. And they maybe could have ended up that scene with a kiss instead of Lorelai walking back to the CS alone in the cold. Lorelai did have a problem with the travel bag that Anna gave to Luke ... but she didn't 'whine' like you said Rory did. If she would have spoken up and really said how she felt, some things might also have gotten addressed AND resolved. There were so many occasions in Season 6 between L/L that were basically little moments that could have been been ended with some kisses and making up. After some speaking up and Lorelai feeling better for speaking up and Luke actually knowing there was a problem. Those things and not resolving them can lead to bigger Issues and well some nice explosions and feelings of completely being defeated as I believe Lorelai was near the end of Season 6. So I for one am glad that Rory did speak up, even though she did admit she was sort of being petty on occasion. By speaking up and actually giving Logan a chance to react, they also get the possibilitly to work out some things TOGETHER, something that severely lacked when Lorelai/Luke were together in Season 6 ... and I believe lead to the end of the engagement the way it did. Messy ...
So I guess that is how I see it ... now back to bed after taken a couple of Advils
