| Ciaobella, I know why she cut them out of her life. I'm not saying either side was right or either side was wrong. I was responding to someone that thinks she's going to have a more open relationship with them in the future.
At this point, I don't see it. As of last season she was still trying to prevent them from knowing much about her life. That's a fact. While I hope it will improve, I don't expect miracles. And I don't expect her to necessairly include them in her life openly in the future. Not as things currently stand. Perhaps they will be different after the scotch & roadtrip, but we'll have wait and see.
Like you said, as Lorelai herself has said, Rory has a very different relationship with Emily & Richard. It's not full of decades of hurt & disappointment on both sides. |
