| I think Luke's behavior was because he wanted to be there for Lorelai to help out but realized too that his being there could cause discomfort so I thought that since he arrived and offered to help out in any way he could, when Emily wanted him to do some things, he was gonna do them.
I think his less than assertive side was in evidence because he was trying to not create a problem for Lorelai and her delightful deadbeat husband.
It was enough for me to see that Luke saw exactly when Christopher arrived at the hospital and knew he hadn't been there all day. SP pulled off that look at Chris so perfectly when Chris felt he had a right to tell Luke to go - classic. Lorelai seemed embarrassed about the whole scene - her looking down after Chris made that nasty remark to Luke.
Luke's always known Chris is a loser and this was just another reminder of who he is - |
