Is there a reason that every time someone mentions Rory's crappy SL you feel the need to appear and mention that Alexis must be happy? Good SL does not necessarily mean more screen time. More screen time does not necessarily mean good SL. All of us were shocked when we saw Wayne's numbers a while ago that Lorelai's screen time wasn't that much more than Rory's. But at least half of that screen time was her reacting to Lorelai's SL instead of having a coherent one of her own. That's still time that she has to be on set, working. But she's not actually doing anything. I don't imagine Alexis is happy with the fact that the majority of reviews don't even mention her character.

I think she's not jumping into it, because she, in the back of her mind, knows the reason she was ready before was because of luke.. She was ready for that step with him, not with Chris... and i think subconsciously she never thought her and chris would last forever, and never really saw a middle and then growing old together, she saw that with luke, and just because she was ready to have a baby then, doesnt mean she is now, because its with a completely different person. she is subconsciously waiting for her and luke to get back together to expand her family..
