I think she hasn't reached her realization yet. She's still trying to make this marriage work and still thinks she can.

I wonder what else will be said to make her come to her full realization.

Obviously (to me anyway), she's still wanting things to work out with Chris in 713, otherwise she wouldn't keep trying to reach him). But I wonder what he says when he witnesses the hospital scene.

Will he back her into a corner (like Digger did) and force her to break up with him?

ETA: Capp, I don't think it was trickery. I think it was being overly optimistic / wishful thinking on Chris's part to go through with all of this. What a dope!
