Logan borrows a helicopter so that he can be there with Rory,
| Everytime I read this, it makes me laugh. It just seems so "out there".
Anyway, my point has been, this whole crush thing seems to be coming at a time which makes no sense for Rory and Logan, and what she should be feeling about them. It's a storyline that might have happened in the past but not now, especially after "borrowing a helicopter" to be with her. The amalgamation of Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, and a resurrected Cary Grant could be standing in front of me and I couldn't think of anyone but the guy who "borrowed a helicopter" to be with me.
Rory and Logan are not living together anymore, they don't interact much anymore, and now Rory's interest is waning and her eyes are roaming. This doesn't say to me, everything's going to be fine and they'll remain together. It says, they are going to come to a realization that they don't belong together, and that'll be how it ends. I'm only picking up on the things they are incorporating into the storyline to counteract all the closeness and overcoming obstacles and moving on to more serious levels that was being built up over the past two seasons. They are chipping away at that because I don't think *these writers* want that outcome. So, how best to do that? Show Rory growing away -- which is very difficult to do at this point in any event -- but they are going to do it and as a result make Rory look pretty bad (fickle, heartless) and Logan, pretty good. __________________ The four stages of Life. |
