The signs have started since the episode they got married in. And the signs have been just piling on since then...every episode since 7.07 has had signs that Lorelai must have noticed (which she would probably stick to the back of her brain so she didn't have to think about them)
I knew, well, we all knew that the C/L wouldn't actually last. It was just a matter of when it would be offically over, and when Lorelai would actually let the can of worms open and be let out for good.
ETA: Sandylnn, though I agree with you (and echo your "RUN Rory RUN!!!" comment), sadly this is all the writers of GG can do to break them up. Remember Luke? They needed a LLD to break L/L up last year. It could have just been organic examples of miscommunication and Luke hiding away in his apartment. But they didn't. Writers of tv shows these days sometimes surprise me at how stupid they think their audience is. Or maybe they themselves are that 'deep'.
