I know people will say, oh, Chris has walked away before and this time Lorelai should do it. But I think there's been walking away on both sides. He could sit down with Rory privately and tell her that things weren't working out with Lorelai, but that he would always be there for her--as opposed to just disappearing again.
If Chris doesn't end the relationship, or if the breakup isn't at least mutual, he's going to be badly hurt and I don't think he deserves that. If the breakup is more mutual both Chris and Lorelai can come out with some dignity and without utterly broken hearts. |
