Ditto! I was just wondering if it would be the first time he was hearing it. And if they are going back and forth it would make a lot of sense to juxtapose their reactions like that. Sounds awesome.

Hmm...I'm excited about the fact that Lorelai writing this letter for Luke will really give her a chance to think about/sort through her feelings/thoughts about him. Even though this probably should have hit me when we got the initial spoiler about Lorelai writing a letter, I'm just really thinking about it now.

She's done a pretty good job of pushing Luke out of her mind since 7.02 or so (at least on the surface) but what is going to happen when she actually has to sit down and think about things in his defense. Since she comes out of it with an "amazing" letter about him, I'm hoping that she is taking the opportunity to realize/remember all of the great things about him (and how much they overshadow his mistakes). Then this butts right up against a fight with Christopher, Luke helping her family and that elusive epiphany. Interesting...

Maybe this was obvious to many of you, but I was having a little trouble connecting the dots before. This is helping...things are starting to make more sense...

ETA: Spec - maybe Sookie is able to "bribe" Lorelai into babysitting by providing her with a quiet place (AWAY FROM CHRIS) to think about Luke and write the letter. It seems like that would be exactly what Lorelai would need at the moment...
