| Quote: | Although Richard (and Emily) have a little somethig for rich guys, Richard had his problems with Dean, because a. he thought Rory was too young for a boyfriend b. he was her boyfriend and c. his little girl wasn't supposed to have a boyfriend until she's 40. Uhm 400. | I think a lot of the reason Richard had a problem with Dean was he saw no intellectual curiosity in Dean and no iniciative to better himself. Richard turned out to be right. Nothing wrong with ending up where Dean's ended up, but he's certainly bitter about it. And the person he ended up being isn't a proper mate or equal to Rory.
She wouldn't have to worry about being a trophy wife, she'd have to be the bread winner.
ETA ~ Wayne, IA, also, part of Richard's idea of what a husband & father is supposed to do is provide for his family. That's part of what's behind the franchising thing. |
