| Quote: | I think these writers are letting the characters talk. We are getting forward movement and real conversations. If this is the last season, I expect to see some (not all) storylines dealt with. Tonight is a start I think. It won't happen fast but it's a baby step. I think Luke will feel all hope is gone and that in turn will take the pressure off. Meanwhile I think Lorelai will feel a flood of old feelings. Baby steps I tell you. | it's true... even CL are talking about their past issues... like Chris never being there with Rory, and Lorelai's telling Chris how she feels. Rory's opening up to people... it's a start of the girls getting better communication for sure. Let's just hope it can carry through for LL. They will eventually need to know what the other's thinking, and talk about where they each screwed up and forgive eachother and themselves... but they can't do that on their own really. They need to talk about what happened openly and honestly eventually.
Maybe tonight can be Luke opening up on how much April means to him.. his thoughts on being a dad, because we really never got his thoughts on that... maybe. If LL talk at all it would be a huge step, but that would be even bigger, imo. |
