| I also remember Lorelai making that statement about wanting Rory to have more than her when Rory dropped out of Yale. She didn't say this when Rory and Logan broke up, or Jess left SH or when she had an affair with Dean. It was in regard to her academic and career successes.
I am srue Lorelai wants Rory to find love and happiness, all mothers want that for their kids. She even spoke to her about being able to express love to another person and that she hoped she wasn't like her mother (well fat chance of that now lol).
