I haven't really decided to be a full time fan of Bryce yet since I just saw two of her movies and have yet to see her full range of acting chops, but I do love the Village and Ladyn The Lake.

What I love about those two movies is the kind of straight from the heart Jane-Austen-esque like dialogue they use and how the characters interact in a completely honest and sarcasm free style that's not been seen in ages. I guess Bryce appreciated those qualities when she decided to do the movies with M Night.

What I don't understand is the intense hatred of these movies by a lot of people, maybe because they were expecting a certain horror and twist based formula from the director and were dissapointed. How could the go into a movie and hate it because it doesn't fit into their cookie-cutter expectations? That is just so wrong.
