Jason Behr (The Grudge) has signed to star in thriller The Tattooist. Commercial director Peter Burger is making his feature debut on the film from a script by Matthew Grainger and Jonathan King.

"Tattooist" casts Behr as a tattoo artist who becomes fascinated by the Samoan tatau tradition, but his desire to learn the ancient skill brings him into conflict and danger with the island mysticism and a deadly spirit is released as a result.

Filming starts next month in and around Auckland, New Zealand.

Somehow I can't help but think that ML and a few others will just sigh when they hear the subject matter and go, "Well, at least we'll see Jason"

You know what, this part doesn't sound like much of a stretch from his real personality. He does seem like the type who would become fascinated with things like that Might even have been a factor in his liking the script; a way to learn about this without all the conflict and danger!

Sounds like this one also has a bit of a supernatural twist. Cool

Not much there yet but I guess we should keep an eye on it: The Tattooist (2007) at IMDB.
