I think Brian is such a proud person and he doesn't like handouts and he's so used to taking care of himself based on his relationship with his father, he doesn't know how to take it when people help him out...he likes to handle his own messes.
But I don't think he'd be mad--maybe for like a minute but he'd get over it and we could have had more caa moments
