| Either he gets bored with his look easily, requiring constant change or, and this is a safer bet, he really isn't hung up on his own looks and is kind of casual about his physical appearance. I say safer bet because we all know he is fairly sartorially challenged, anyhow, so this wouldn't be much of a surprise.
As for shaving, I was with my late husband for 11 years and, more often than not, he sported some kind of beard. He'd go clean shaven (except for his mustache, grown at age 15 and never shaved off) for a few months and then decide to grow another beard. Why?
