Fast National ratings for Monday, March 22, 2004

Monday night's ratings race was not a close one, as CBS, led by "CSI: Miami," coasted to a sizable win over its rivals.

CBS averaged a 10.8 rating/17 share in primetime, easily beating second-place NBC's 8.0/13. ABC was third at 5.7/9, followed by FOX, 3.8/6; UPN, 2.3/4; and The WB, 1.9/3.

Among adults 18-49, the margin was narrower, but CBS still came out on top with a 5.8 rating. NBC was right behind at 5.7 in its favored demographic. FOX averaged 2.6, ABC 2.3, UPN 1.4 and The WB 0.9.

"Fear Factor," 8.9/14, started NBC's night with a win over the CBS duo of "Yes, Dear," 7.4/12, and "Still Standing," 8.1/12. ABC's movie "NTSB: The Crash of Flight 323" (5.6/9 average from 8 to 10 p.m.) finished third. FOX's new lineup of "The Bernie Mac Show," 4.3/7, and "Cracking Up," 3.3/5, didn't generate much heat. A rerun of "7th Heaven" on The WB averaged 2.5/4 to finish just head of "The Parkers" and "Eve" on UPN.

CBS took over at 9 p.m. with "Everybody Loves Raymond," 11.9/18, and "Two and a Half Men," 11.1/17. "Las Vegas," 8.7/13, kept NBC solidly in second, while ABC's movie remained in third. FOX averaged 3.7/6 with two repeats of "That '70s Show." UPN moved into fifth with "Girlfriends," 2.4/4, and "Half and Half," 2.2/3. The WB's "Everwood" repeat trailed.

At 10 p.m., "CSI: Miami" posted the night's highest rating, 13.3/22. It scored better than the combined numbers for NBC's "Average Joe: Adam Returns" (6.3/10) and ABC's "20/20" special (5.8/10).
