Fast National ratings for Monday, March 1, 2004

FOX had the Will(iam Hung) on Monday night, but CBS found a way to finish atop the ratings.

The Eye network averaged a 10.2 rating/16 share in primetime to finish a little more than a point ahead of FOX, 9.1/14. NBC was third at 8.3/13, followed by ABC at 6.9/10. The WB came in at 3.1/5 and UPN at 2.4/4.

FOX led the way among adults 18-49 with a 6.7 rating. NBC was second at 6.1, edging out CBS' 5.8. ABC averaged 2.4, The WB 1.7 and UPN 1.5.

The "American Idol" special "Uncut, Uncensored and Untalented" gave FOX a win at 8 p.m. with an 11.2/17. NBC's "Fear Factor," 7.5/11, was second. ABC's movie "The Mystery of Natalie Wood" (6.9/10 average from 8 to 11 p.m.), tied for third with CBS' "Yes, Dear" and "Still Standing." The WB's "7th Heaven," 3.7/5, finished fifth. UPN trailed with "The Parkers" and "Eve."

CBS claimed the lead at 9 p.m. with "Everybody Loves Raymond," 11.1/16, and "Two and a Half Men," 10.8/16. "Las Vegas," 8.1/12, kept NBC in second. The premiere of "Forever Eden" on FOX started fairly strong (7.8/11) but dipped substantially in its second half-hour (6.1/9) to finish at 6.9/10, tied for third with ABC's movie. "Girlfriends," 2.7/4, and "Half and Half," 2.6/4, moved UPN into fifth, ahead of a "7th Heaven" repeat on The WB.

"CSI: Miami" was the night's most-watched show, averaging 12.8/20 for CBS at 10 p.m. The finale of "Average Joe: Hawaii," 9.3/14, was a strong second for NBC. "The Mystery of Natalie Wood" held steady in third for ABC.
