hmm yeah i agree. it is harder to portray the inside of a character. when it comes to tv/movie adaptation, the art of storytelling and the writing are so important.

fwiw they could adapt Conversations with Friends, it would be two seasons worth of tv for sure, the issue with Conversations with friends is, its not very long, so im guessing they'll slow it down (like normal people) and they'll have lots of long scenes without dialogue, and people walking in landscapes of ireland, or france
they can cast the guy who played connell as nick, give it 5 years and he should be not young nor old to play nick as described in the book. and nick is an actor, so connell from normal people fits the description of nick
however, im not sure who would play frances (the main character), bobbi or melissa though
frances is going to be very hard to cast because shes meant to be gay, but 'changes teams'
, and bobbi whos gay, but is better looking than frances.
