I do feel like Dawson gets a bad wrap sometimes though. He clearly was not as great as Pacey, but he did truly care about Joey's wellbeing. I don't think they made a good romantic couple at all, but they would always have that connection. Just not an electric connection like Pacey and Joey.  |
I think Dawson needed more life experience and unfortunately, he got that when his father passed. Before that, his idealist notions ran his life in his movies. Even after his father, he escaped in his filmmaker ambitions. Pacey and Joey always had a complicated upbringing connection that Dawson never understood. I just think they grew up faster than he did.
