That's because the writers wanted Ace/Nancy to spend the whole episode together solving the case. It was SO glaring of a choice, it's not even funny. I mean...even Nick is like "we're here for you." Why didn't Ace say that instead?! This was definitely an awkwardly plotted scene IMHO.

Yeahhhhhh I'm not going to complain about Ace and Nancy but yeah it's a little awkward that he didn't go with Bess.

I really liked it too but could only find it on youtube but I thought Spotify was just being weird. The music was really good this episode!
