Their post-graduation plans and feelings not being addressed was caused by the trio's status as secondary/supporting characters. It sucks that TPTB didn't touch on the trio's thoughts and feelings about the next stage of their lives. I'm sure it would have helped ease some of the viewers' minds about their own post-graduation plans.
