it's a different climate really. 20 degrees there isn't the same than here. 20 degrees in Canada is quite chilly. 20 degrees across the pond, it's perfect in t-shirts under the sun.

5 degrees in winter time feels also different. At the same temperature, it's colder in Europe due to humidity. Here it's a dry cold, anything on the plus side it's considered warm in winter time.
