I sort of get the AU thing. lol I would agree if the threads weren't popular or anything but a lot of the AU pairings were actually pretty popular, had fanarts, icons, fanvidoes and everything. lol
 was such a different place in the past as well.
I think it's difficult to compare how it was to how it is.
Like nowadays a thread like that might be pretty irrelevant because traffic has gone drastically down over the past 7 years but before that, of course!
