| It was Gone With the Wind for me. I read that for the first time in 6th grade and became obsessed not only with it but with the whole historical time period. I LOVE John Jakes' novels. He's excellent. It's just so hauntingly beautiful, the war. The people involved, the idea that families fought against each other, the magnitude of it, it's a shame more people aren't familiar with all the little stories involved. __________________ Thanks, princess_herm, for the Icon!  |
