It felt like that they initially had ideas for the character, but later on he would just reappear every now and then...
It probably had something to do with the actor too, though... Since he had quite a few other recurring roles over the years...

Yeah some of the rounds were hard had all good shows in one round and bad shows in the other could or spaced it out
