Yes, Joey put him through hell in season 2 so I don’t blame him either. I just hated how he went to Pacey and told him to watch her while he wanted to pursue something with Eve. It just seemed weird to me. Wanting to be single and figure things out, I buy. Dawson literally spent 6 episodes focused on Eve. I thought by the time Escape from Witch Island happened, and certainly by Four to Tango, he should have been ready to entertain the idea of possibly reuniting with Joey or at least taking it slowly.
